India will take on South Africa in the fourth and final Test match of the series at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi from Thursday, 3 December. Having won the Test series already, skipper Virat Kohli will be looking to end things on a high in New Delhi. 

Kohli's unstoppable spin trio -- Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Amit Mishra -- will be looking to pile on further miseries on the visitors; especially Ashwin, who has already bagged 24 scalps to his name in this series.

Ashwin rose to a career high ranking in the longest format of the game after he demolished the Proteas batting lineup in the third Test match in Nagpur. 

"He is a world class spinner, probably the best in the world right now. He's stepped up in a big way for us, even in (the last series against) Sri Lanka. He is one of the main reasons why we've been able to win back-to-back series," Kohli said on Tuesday ahead of the fourth Test match against South Africa. 

Ashwin was instrumental in running through Proteas' stellar batting lineup in all the three Test matches. The second Test match ended in a draw in Bangalore as rain played the spoiltsport. Ashwin picked up four wickets in the first innings of that rain-curtailed Test as well. 

South African batsmen have struggled in the longest format of the game in the Indian sub-continent. In fact, no batsmen have scored a century yet in this series from either side. South Africa skipper Hashim Amla felt that the South African batsmen have been exposed to one of the most challenging conditions they have ever come across prior to this and thus, they have struggled. 

"I think the wickets have played their part in making it very difficult for all the batters," Amla told the reporters in New Delhi on Tuesday. 

South Africa's dream run in the overseas came to an end after a losing the first Test series in nine years. The Indian fans thought that it was going to be very difficult for India to bounce back in this fashion after getting beaten in both the T20 and the ODI series. But, under the able leadership of Kohli, India have managed to outclass South Africa in this Test series.
