The 2nd edition of INDIA GADGET EXPO (IGE), the four-day event on gadgets and latest technology, was inaugurated on Friday by K T Ramarao, Cabinet Minister for Information Technology and Panchayat Raj, Telangana in Hyderabad  at the HITEX Convention Centre.

The IGE 2015 serves as a platform to showcase innovative gadgets and technologies, apart from bringing together major stakeholders of the tech community comprising technology providers, gadget manufacturers, tech innovators, bureaucrats, entrepreneurs and start-ups. 

The IGE, 2015 has over 100 stalls and many companies, including Canon, Micromax, Gionee, Panasonic, WDC, Motorola, BMW, and Mercedes are participating in it. 

Motorola, for the first time, will be launching phones from Flipkart, allowing customers the opportunity to touch and feel the handsets. Besides, gadgets and gizmos, the event features a Start-up Zone where over 50 enthusiastic innovators will display their products. 

The IGE has lined up a series of seminars on various topics on which executives including Manish Sharma, Managing Director, Panasonic India & South Asia and President CEAMA; Akhilesh Tuteja, Partner and HOD – IT Advisory, KPMG; Gurmeet Singh – CEO Yahoo; Ashim Warsi - Head Samsung Mobiles; Arvind Vohra - Head, Gionee; Rishi Jaitley - Asia Head, Twitter and Anubhav Nayyar - Head, Viber, will speak on trends and the future of gadgets, gizmos, apps & technology. 

The IGE 2015 is also hosting a 30-hour Hackathon Carnival, a platform for hackers to pitch their prototypes and solutions to industry leaders, investors, IT professionals and the public at large.

To take the excitement to the next level, IGE 2015 will have Five @5, during which five new products will be launched everyday between 5pm and 6pm.

IGE will witness the launch of B.One, a product which will 'revolutionise the field of office and home automation & security'.  

Also, flash sale by e-commerce between 1pm and 4pm will see massive discounts on featured products of top brands.
