The World Cup Opening ceremony is scheduled for today with several acts set to enthral audiences in Melbourne and Christchurch.

The two Opening Ceremonies will be held simultaneously in the two countries as Australia and New Zealand get ready to host the biggest cricket tournament in the world.

Legends from both countries are expected to attend the ceremony, while there will be plenty of musical acts as well including Jessica Hilda Mauboy, Tina Arena, Nathaniel and Daryl Braithwaite and the famous Melbourne Symphony Orchestra led by musical director Chong Lim.

"It is a privilege to welcome the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 to Melbourne and Australia by performing at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl for the Opening Event in front of a number of teams, including Australia and England before their big opening match," said Mauboy.

There will also be musical events performed by representatives of all 14 countries at the World Cup, which should be a treat to watch with all sorts of cultures colliding.

The World Cup opening ceremony is will be shown live in India on Star Sports 1 and Star Sports HD 1. Viewers can also watch the match via live streaming online on Starsports.com.

Watch the action in Australia on Channel Nine and Fox Sports, while viewers can also live stream the action on Cricket Australia Live. Audience in the USA can watch the warm-up game live on ESPN or Watch ESPN.
