Looks like Vikram's latest movie "I" is poised to conquer the Kerala box office. Reports suggest that the second-day collections of the movie in Kerala have surpassed the opening two-day gross of Malayalam movie "Bangalore Days" in the state.
The movie has collected ₹2.52 crore taking the gross collection in the state to ₹5.57crore. The movie had collected ₹3.05 crore on the opening day.

Meanwhile, theatre reports from Kerala suggest that the successful run for the film would continue in the coming days as some of theatres in the state are running to packed houses.
The movie had a massive opening at 225 screens. Some theatres had their show at 6am, exclusively for the members of Vikram fans association. This came as a disappointment to others who did not have membership in the association.
Reports suggest that the movie has had nearly 1,170 houseful shows in the entire state -- a first for any Tamil films. Industry insiders claim that mass publicity for the film has led to this kind of frenzy from the audience.
Meanwhile, mass release if "I' also has not gone down well with many in the industry. A section of the industry claims that the mass release of films like "I", "Lingaa" and "Kaththi" has led to the postponing of many Malayalam movies like "Mili", "Mariyam Mukku", "Fireman" and "Picket 43".
This trend has led many to believe that release of big movies of other industry is dominating the small industry of Malayalam to an extent where they force postponing of release date of Malayalam cinema.
