Hyundai has taken the wraps off its latest concept coupe christened Vision G Concept, at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

A press release issued by the Korean manufacturer describes the concept as the "inspiration for its family of future premium products that promise luxury, performance and style with the value and responsibility", giving a clear idea of a flamboyant design, which is next to the current fluidic design language of the company.

The coupe was designed at Hyundai's California Design center. The design is not overboard, unlike the concept cars usually shown by the manufacturer and appears fit for production.

The concept coupe has a long hood, high beltline and long dimension. The stylish coupe features a prominent grill flanked by sweptback headlamp at front. The side profile catches the attention with its big alloys and sleek roofline. The dramatically raked C-pillar ends at the trunk with an integrated spoiler.

The two door, four seater coupe's interior is spruced up with premium leather upholstery in white shade complemented by the wooden inserts. The concept also boasts of a three-spoke steering wheel and a digital display system.

The Vision G Coupe Concept is powered by the 5.0-litre V8 engine, which spearheads the Genesis sedan at 420bhp at 6000rpm and 519Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. Hyundai is coy about the rest of the technical specifications and performance details. 

The Vision G Coupe Concept will next be shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, a gathering reserved for exotic supercars and ultra luxurious vehicles. This also indicates that the Vision G Concept will be a halo car in the Korean manufacturer's line-up.
