The HTC One (M9) is one of the most-anticipated smartphones of 2015 and it is expected to arrive in the first quarter of the year though the Taiwanese technology giant hasn't announced it officially.

The HTC's flagship smartphone is very likely to be unveiled at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) to be held in Spain from 2-5 March. HTC usually announces its devices at big events, so the HTC One (M9) should see the light of the day at the MWC 2015.

The Taiwanese technology giant is tight-lipped on the HTC One (M8) successor, but several features have been leaked, though not confirmed. What will confuse many gadget lovers is that the rumoured specifications of the device contradict one another.

According to China-based HTC leaker @upleaks, the HTC One (M9) is codenamed "Hima" and will sport a 5-inch Full HD display, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor that clocks at 2.0GHz and 1.5GHz, run on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, and come packed with 3GB RAM. It added that the device will have HTC Sense 7, 20.7mp main camera and 13mp or UltraPixel 4mp front snapper, and 2,840mAh battery.

However, specifications of the device mentioned in My Drivers website (via Phone Arena) contradict @upleaks' claims. It reported that the HTC One (M9) might sport a 5.5-inch display with 2K screen resolution, come packed with a 64GB internal memory, microSD up to 128GB and 3GB RAM, and a 3,500mAh battery. It added that it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, have a 16mp camera with Optical Image Stabiliser (OIS), and could boast of BOSE duel speakers.

HTC hasn't revealed the release date, specifications, price and other details of its upcoming flagship smartphone, but it is expected to make news like its predecessors – the HTC One (M7) and the HTC One (M8).
