Honda Cars India Ltd has rolled out a new variant of its fourth generation City sedan with Advanced Integrated Touchscreen Audio Visual Navigation (AVN).
Dubbed VX (O), the new City variant sits above the VX grade and is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. While the City VX(O) petrol variant has been priced at ₹10.64 lakh, the diesel model of the same has a price tag of ₹11.83 lakh (Ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The Touchscreen Audio Visual Navigation system (AVN) in the Honda City features a large 15.7 cm Touchscreen with satellite-based voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation, and DVD/CD Playback, Bluetooth, USB, AUX, i-POD, MP3, FM/ AM, Rear Camera Display with Guidelines. The system comes with an integrated hands-free Bluetooth connectivity that lets the user sync his phone with it, allowing him to use functions like dialling, answering, history, address book, and Bluetooth music play.
The new City is now available in 14 variants: E, S, SV, V, VX AND VX(O) (New) in petrol and diesel variants in manual transmissions, and there is also SV and VX CVT in petrol. The new City VX (O) comes in new white orchid pearling colour.
The petrol version of the sedan packs a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine, which churns out a power of 119 PS @ 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm torque @ 4,600 rpm. The diesel variant comes with a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine, which is also used in Honda Amaze. It is mated with a six-speed manual transmission and pumps in 100 PS power @ 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm torque @ 1,750 rpm.
