Honda Cars India Sales Up 88% in August

Honda Cars India (HCIL) recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in March, 2015 at 22,696 units, an increase of 23 percent. 

The company had sold 18,426 units in the corresponding month last year.

Last month, Honda sold 1,642 units of Brio, 8,128 units of Amaze and 9,777 units of City, besides 100 units of CRV, its sports utility vehicle (SUV). Honda sold 's 3,049 units of its first MPV - Mobilio in March this year.

The company's exports stood at 691 units last month, taking its total sales to 23,387 units.

Honda also posted its highest annual domestic sales in 2014-15 at 189,062 units, marking a growth of 41 percent in comparison to 2013-14.

Its fourth-generation City sedan crossed the fastest 1-lakh cumulative sales mark in just 15 months, with record sales of 9,777 units in March alone.

The new Honda City has achieved exceptional success with over 1 lakh sales in record 15 months.
