The world observes the 70th anniversary of the 1945 atomic bombing of Hiroshima in Japan on Thursday, 6 August, 2015.

The atomic bombing, which ended the World War II, destroyed the city of Hiroshima on 6 August and Nagasaki on 9 August, killing more than 200,000 people and injuring many others.

Now, seven decades after the most dreaded bombing in history, the Japanese cities look entirely different.
