The latest reports suggest that "Heropanti" actress Kriti Sanon will be signed as Shah Rukh Khan's leading lady in Rahul Dholakia's "Raees".
"The latest buzz is that the actress has been auditioning for Farhan Akhtar's 'Raaes'. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, the film features Shah Rukh Khan in the lead and will be directed by Rahul Dholakia. While Farhan Akhtar has allotted his dates for 'Rock On 2', the actor has opted out of his other home production 'Raees', which also stars Shah Rukh Khan," stated a Deccan Chronicle report.
Sanon, who has had an impressive start in Bollywood, had earlier stated that he would love to romance SRK onscreen. Interestingly, since it has been reported that "Raees" is the story of a cop and gangster, it leaves very little room for a romantic angle to fit in.
However, the actress has been extremely picky about scripts and has signed Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's "Farzi" alongside Shahid Kapoor and Prabhu Deva's "Singh is Bling" opposite Akshay Kumar till now.
While the female lead is still being speculated, Khan had confirmed his association with Dholakia's "Raees".
"'Raees' it is a space I have never tried, it is a different film. Rahul Dholakia narrated the film to me and I liked it very much. They are cosy for me as an actor. Then I have Rohit's film and another which I have not signed yet," PTI quoted the actor.
SRK is currently busy working on Maneesh Sharma's "Fan" for which he had a 3D face scanning in Las Vegas during his world tour with his "Happy New Year" team. Calling the film a "commercially viable and intense film", "Fan" will see the king of romance in a completely different avatar and award-winning makeup artist Greg Cannom has been roped in to work on SRK's new look.
