Malayalam movie Velipadinte Pusthakam has been making headlines ever since the project was announced by superstar Mohanlal and hitmaker Lal Jose as they are coming together for the first time in 19 years. Now, raising the expectations of cine-goers, the versatile actor has shared a photo that reveals his character's look in the much-awaited film.

"Joined at the sets of Laljose movie "Velipadinte Pusthakam" produced by Antony Perumbavoor," the actor wrote while sharing a picture of him from the shooting location of Velipadinte Pusthakam. However, a few netizens have pointed out that he looks similar to his character Vishal Krishnamoorthy in the musical mystery thriller Devadoothan.

Devadoothan, helmed by Sibi Malayil, is tagged as one of the best movies of Mohanlal and had bagged three Kerala State Film Awards in 2000 for Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value, Music Director and Costume Designer. The similar look of the superstar in Velipadinte Pusthakam has undoubtedly impressed the audience, who are eagerly waiting for its release.

The makers of Velipadinte Pusthakam had revealed the title of the Lal Jose directorial as part of the 57th birthday celebrations of Mohanlal on Sunday, May 21. Interestingly, Mohanlal appears as college vice-principal Professor Michael Idikkula, and the movie started rolling in Thiruvananthapuram on May 17. It also stars Anna Reshma Rajan and Priyanka Nair in main roles.

The Mohanlal-starrer is being scripted by Benny P Nayarambalam and is the production venture of Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas. The other crew of the movie includes cinematographer Vishnu Sharma, music composer Shaan Rahman, costume designer Sameera Saneesh and editor Ranjan Abraham.
