"Hart of Dixie" season 4 finale is just three weeks away and it could end up being the last few episodes of the series as there is no official confirmation on the renewal of the show.

In January, The CW renewed eight of its current TV shows -- "The Flash" (season two), "Arrow" (season four), "Supernatural" (season 11), "The Vampire Diaries" (season seven), "The Originals" (season three), "Jane the Virgin" (season two), "Reign" (season three) and "The 100" (season three) – but "Hart of Dixie" was missing from the list.

Since then several speculations have been doing the rounds that the comedy drama is currently telecasting its last season and the main reason for it is said to be the declining ratings.

Meanwhile, the title of season 4 finale, "Bluebell", indicates a conclusion of the storyline and even executive producer Leila Gerstein seemed pessimistic about renewal.

"We have left doors open if there is a Season 5. And if there isn't a Season 5, I feel that this season is a celebration. I know that people will be very sad, but story-wise there will be enough conclusion that people won't feel like they're left hanging," she told The Wrap.

However, The CW president Mark Pedowitz revealed that, as of now, they have not made any decision about the show. "I'm happy to see how it plays. If [comedy series] ends, it is a great finale. If it doesn't, it's a great season finale," he told TV Series Finale.

As per Zap2it, there are still no hopes for "Hart of Dixie" season 5 mainly because the cable network has already lined up a potential new show, "iZombie", which will premiere on 17 March.

Hence, viewers could probably enjoy the next few episodes of their favourite comedy drama in the coming days.
