Abhishek Bachchan seems to be riding high these days. From owning a Kabbaddi team and a football team to his recently released film "Happy New Year" along with Shah Rukh Khan that is receiving overwhelming responses from the viewers, Jr. Bachchan has all the reasons to smile.

And now, news is that the actor will next be seen in Akshay Kumar's "The Shaukeens" in a cameo role, reported Bollywood Life.

According to the report, Bachchan was recently approached by the makers for a cameo role in the film. The actor found the role so interesting that he readily agreed to do it despite being quite busy with the promotion of "Happy New Year".

Bachchan shot day and night for "The Shaukeens" and impressed by his sincerity and fabulous acting, director Abhishek Sharma of "Tere Bin Laden" fame was all praise for him. "I had always heard that Abhishek has a great sense of humour. But this time, I saw it for myself," said Sharma.

Unwilling to disclose more about Bachchan's character, Sharma who couldn't stop laughing at Bachchan's hilarious shot mentioned: "I have become a huge Abhishek fan after this experience." Bachchan too had good fun on the sets and sharing screen space with the entire cast of the film.

"The Shaukeens" is a comedy flick and is the remake of Basu Chatterjee's 1982 comedy film with the same title. Produced by Murad Khetani, Cape Of Good Films and Ashwin Varde, the film will hit theatres on 7 November.

The film also features Lisa Haydon and three veteran actors Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra in significant roles.

Kumar has a short but important role in the film, while Haydon has been cast opposite the "Entertainment" actor. For the first time in his career, Kumar will play himself in the remake.

The film revolves around three oldies played by veteran actors Kher, Kapoor and Mishra who are out for some fun but land in some hilarious situations. The promo of the film was released recently and is expected to take the viewers for a fun ride with the oldies.
