Much-hyped Bollywood movie "Happy Ending", which marks the directorial debut of Go Goa Gone-fame producers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, is scheduled for release on November 21.

"Happy Ending" is a romantic-comedy about how a fading filmstar makes a desperate attempt to save his stardom. Armaan is a movie star and he goes to Hollywood to get a Bollywood script written in Hollywood style. He approaches writer Yudi, who has not written anything in a few years. What happens next forms the crux of the movie.

Govinda plays the fading star Armaan in "Happy Ending". Saif Ali Khan has reprised the role of a writer, who is against romantic comedy stories but has to write one. Ileana D'Cruz, Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey have essayed other important roles in the movie. Preity Zinta and Kareena Kapoor Khan have reportedly played cameo roles in the film.

"Happy Ending" is a love story of a writer, who is caught between finding inspiration and finding love. "The lead characters are both strong-minded. They are cynical about love and the so-called 'happy ending'. They meet as rivals and eventually realise that they are not that different from each other," Raj told The Times of India.

After "Go Goa Gone", Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have teamed up again with Saif Ali Khan for "Happy Ending". This time, they have directed the actor in the movie and are all praises for the actor. "Saif is one actor who completely gives in to the character. He will never say no to doing something on screen," The Times of India quotes Raj as saying.

"Happy Ending" is a light-hearted comedy about rom-coms. It is a fresh and funny take on modern day relationships. "We are hitting all the points till interval but despite being a bona fide romantic comedy, it goes beyond. The crux of every rom-com is happy ending. But there is also this thought process whether there is anything like 'happy ending' because end is always sad," added the debutant director.

Sachin-Jigar have composed music "Happy Ending", which has impressed music lovers. However, the trailer of the film received a cold response and failed to create the desired buzz. With the film slated to release in theatres this Friday, it should be seen whether it will be able to win the heart of the cinegoers or not.
