When 18 years is mandatory for all other jobs, age is not a barrier to prove one's talent in acting.

Many South Indian celebs, including Tamannaah Bhatia, Shriya Saran and Malavika Nair, made their acting debut as heroines even before they were 18 years old.

Hansika Motwani

The chubby South Indian actress Hansika began acting as a child artiste, however, she became a heroine in the Telugu film "Desamuduru" in 2007 when she was just 16 years old. She was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South for her performance in the film.

Tamannaah Bhatia

Tamannaah, 25, began her acting career as a lead heroine with the 2005 Bollywood film "Chand Sa Roshan Chehrawhen she was just 16-year-old. Later, she became a girl next door in Tamil and Telugu entertainment industry. The milky white beauty will be next seen in "Vasuvum Saravananum Onna Padichavanga", "Baahubali" and "Bengal Tiger".

Kavya Madhavan

Before acting in the lead role in Dileep starrer "Chandranudikkunna Dikhil" in 1999 at the age of 15, Kavya had already acted in more than 10 films as a child artiste. The 30-year-old actress will be seen in her comeback film "She Taxi" this year.

Charmme Kaur

The "Mantra" (2007) actress Charmme Kaur made her acting debut with the 2002 Telugu film "Nee Thodu Kavali" when she was just 15 years old. The 27-year-old actress then acted in all South Indian languages and has appeared in a few Hindi films. She will be seen in a special appearance in the upcoming film, "10 Enradhukulla".

Sanusha 

Sanusha, who began her acting career as a child artiste, was popularly known as "Baby Sanusha". She became a lead heroine in the Tamil films, "Nandhi" and "Eththan", which were released in 2011, when she was 17. Later, she went on to act in many other films in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. She will be next seen in the Malyalam film, "Nirnayakam".

Apart from all these actors, Thulasi Nair, Malavika Nair, Avika Gor, Sayesha Saigal, Samskruthy Shenoy, Navya Nair and Rambha also began their acting career before turning 18.
