NBC's psychological thriller "Hannibal" is expected to focus on universal and classic horror in season 3, which is scheduled to hit TV screens in 2015.
"For the new season, we have actually been talking a lot about classic horror and Universal horror, and the metaphor of Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) being a bit of a Frankenstein's monster," Bryan Fuller told Collider.
The producer also talked about the influence of Italian film maker Dario Argento on the show and said that the series will embrace his aesthetics in the storyline.
In the meantime, Fuller teased that he would like to bring in Kristin Chenoweth, Anna Friel, Malcolm McDowell, Lance Henriksen, Brad Dourif, David Thewlis and David Bowie in "Hannibal" season 3.
Meanwhile, several rumours are doing the rounds that Michael Pitt will be replaced by Joe Anderson to play Mason Verger in NBC's psychological thriller.
Pitt has reportedly decided to make an exit from the show and will not be joining the cast list in next season, according to TV Line.
The publication also stated that Anderson recently posted a photo of himself in Verger costume on Instagram and it indicates that he will be playing the role in next season of "Hannibal" season 3.
Though there is no official confirmation on whether Pitt will reprise his role in NBC's psychological thriller, it is clear that Raul Esparza will be back in the show as Dr. Frederick Chilton, reported Screenrant.
Other celebs to join the cast list of "Hannibal" season 3 includes Tao Okamoto as Lady Murasaki, Mads Mikkelsen as Dr. Hannibal Lecter and Eddie Izzard as Abel Gideon.
