Pawan Kalyan-Venkatesh's satirical drama "Gopala Gopala" did average business on the third day at the AP/Nizam box office.

The film, which minted over ₹9 crore on the opening day, witnessed drop in its collections on the second day. It earned around ₹4 crore taking its two-day collections to over ₹13 crore. On Monday (12 January), "Gopala Gopala" noticed further drop in its collections. According to early estimates, the multi-starrer is estimated to have earned around ₹2 crore at the AP/Nizam box office.

"#GopalaGopala 1st Monday AP/N Share 'Early estimates' Close to 2 Cr. Average," tweeted Andhraboxoffice. "#GopalaGopala Slowed down and average today. Pre-festive days and Average WOM now showing their impact."

Although the performance of "Gopala Gopala" has slowed down, the film has managed to dominate the screens in AP/Nizam box office. The multi-starrer topped last weekend box office followed by Arjun Kapoor's Hindi film "Tevar" and Dhanush's "Raghuvaran B.Tech."

The comedy drama is also leading at the Chennai box office as there had been no big releases in the last two weeks. "Gopala Gopala" has taken the top spot in Chennai, followed by Aamir Khan's "PK" and Vaibhav's "Kayal", according to entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai.

The film has also taken good openings in the US where it has fetched $699,933 (₹4.37 crore) in last weekend (9-11 January). It has performed better than Arjun Kapoor's "Tevar", which had raked in $125,908 (₹78.70 lakh) in its first weekend, according to Bollywood Hungama

However, the release of Vikram-starrer "I" is likely to affect the business of "Gopala Gopala".

"I" is set for a grand release worldwide on 14 January. According to latest reports, the Shankar directorial will have the biggest ever release for any South Indian film (all versions). It is expected to be released in over 2,700 screens across the world.

It will be releasing in more number of screens in AP/Nizam areas (over 725) than any other circuits. The film will also have a grand release in other key markets including Tamil Nadu, Kerlala, Karnataka, the US, the UK, Australia and Malaysia.

With more screens being allotted for "I," "Gopala Gopala" might see a decline in its screen count, which in turn might affect its performance.
