Google acquired DeepMind's AlphaGo AI returns to spotlight with a scintillating win against the world's number one Go player Ke Jie. AlphaGo had earlier showed its incredible moves against the Korean legend Lee Se-dol who lost the match 1-4 to the prolific AI.
It is being reported that the 19-year-old world number one has been learning from AlphaGo's unpredictably unorthodox approach, following the defeat.
Although Ke Jie has been touted as the strongest human player in the game, it seems AlphaGo's quick-second moves seem to have outsmarted all participating human players as the AI has recently recorded a 60-game winning streak.
Ke Jie is expected to face off the mighty AlphaGo yet again in the second game, which is scheduled to kick off on Thursday (Wednesday evening in the US) in Wuzhen, China. The Go competition will be part of the 'Future of Go Summit' which is being conducted by Google, while the grand finale is set for Saturday.
As part of its preparation schedule ahead of the finale, AlphaGo is expected to practice taking on five Chinese pros at once in a stipulation match.
