Nexus 9, the latest tablet by Google will be powered by Tegra K1 mobile processors. The device will be the first ever tablet to feature the latest Android version, Android Lollipop 5.0.

With this chipset, Google is using the NVIDIA architecture for the first time in their Nexus series devices.

Contextually, the Tegra K1 is the first ARM based processor for Android to power Lollipop 5.0 with 64 bit architecture. Earlier, this ARM based chipset was known as Project Denver.

Using the superscalar micro-architecture, these chipsets also support Dynamic Code Optimization and also uses Kepler GPU architecture, which powers some of the world's few fastest gaming PCs and supercomputers.

Including Kepler architecture in Android Extension Pack for Lollipop, Google brings state-of-the art graphics to Android for PC and console-class games.

The result is PC-class performance, extended battery life and great web-browsing. It also opens new possibilities for gaming, content creation and enterprise apps.

Nexus 9 comes with front-facing stereo speakers and HTC's BoomSound technology for immersive sound. It is also available witha  folding keyboard cover that helps consumers get work done at home, in the office and on the go. It's 8.9-inch display, with stunning 2048×1536 resolution, complements 8MP rear and 1.6MP front cameras. LTE is optional.

Nexus 9 – available with 16 or 32 GB of storage – will be available through the Google Play store in 30 countries, as well as carrier and retail channels around the world.

The device is already up on pre-orders through Google India play store with a starting price of ₹28,900.
