The search giant, Google on Tuesday (29 September) finally pulled the wraps off the eagerly awaited flagship Huawei Nexus 6P and also brought back the company's popular Nexus 5 (2013) series with all new design and hardware made by LG dubbed as Nexus 5X.

To put things in perspective, Huawei Nexus 6P is the successor of Motorola's Nexus 6 (2014) and it also more superior to its smaller sibling LG Nexus 5X.

Let's get started.

Display:

Huawei Nexus 6P sports a 5.7-inch QHD display resolution having a staggering pixel density of 518 ppi (pixels per inch)

On the other hand, LG Nexus 5X features a smaller 5.2-inch full HD screen with 423 ppi resolution.

Both the devices come with Corning Gorilla Glass series protection but differ in the version. Nexus 6P boasts Gorilla Glass 4 shield, whereas LG Nexus 5X's display is guarded by third generation Gorilla Glass.

Honorable mention:

Huawei made Nexus 6P is the Google's first ever vanilla Android smartphone to sport an all-metal body design language. It boasts airplane grade anodized Aluminium casing.

Processor, RAM and Storage capacity:

Huawei Nexus 6P houses 2.0GHz Snapdragon 810 series v2.1 Octa-core processor. It will be available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage models, backed by 3GB LPDDR 4 series RAM.

Nexus 5X ships with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 Hexa-core processor. LG device will come in two storage variants 16GB and 32GB variants backed by 2GB LPDDR 3 series RAM.

Camera:

Both Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X boast 12.3-megapixel camera on the rear-side with f/2.0 aperture, 4K video recording, IR assisted laser-autofocus, dual-LED flash and 1.55-µm pixels sensor.

In terms of front-camera features, Huawei device comes packed with an 8mp snapper with 1.4µm pixel, whereas LG phone will house a modest 5mp camera on the front.

Mobile Operating System:

Both Huawei and LG devices come shipped with the Android's latest sugar treat flavor mobile OS Marshmallow (v6.0) out-of-the-box.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is confirmed to come with native support for fingerprint sensor input, leaner and faster Chrome browser, Google Photos, Auto back-up -- from where all app's user-data (less than 25MB) will automatically be stored in Google Drive. Power saving feature has also been incorporated in the Android Marshmallow to extend battery life.

Battery:

Huawei Nexus 6P's comes shipped with a massive 3450 mAh cell, whereas the LG's Nexus 5X houses a 2700 mAh battery.

Google LG Nexus 5X, Huawei Nexus 6P Price and Release Date Details:

Google Nexus 5X price will start from $379 (around €337/Rs. 24,991). On the other hand, Huawei Nexus 6P will set you back by $499(around €444/Rs. 32,900) for the base (32GB) variant.

Both the devices are now available for pre-order in USA, UK, Germany, Ireland and Japan on Google Play store, 29 September onwards.

As of now, there is no word on when the Huawei and LG made Nexus smartphones will be made available in other markets.

[Update: Google Play store India has revealed that LG Nexus 5X (16GB) and Huawei Nexus 6P (32GB) will cost Rs. 31,900 and Rs. 39,999 respectively, but release date is yet to be ascertained by the company]
