Golden Petal Awards 2016 winners: Varun Kapoor, Helly Shah, Mouni Roy, Sudha Chandran take home trophies

The annual Golden Petal Awards, that honours the best talents in the television industry, was held Sunday night in Mumbai. The award show, hosted by Karan Johar, Manish Paul, Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek, was a grand affair with several television actors and Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Malaika Arora Khan, Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor in attendance.

Celebrities including Sanaya Irani, Deepika Samson, Prince Narula, Gautam Gulati, Avika Gaur with Manish Raisinghan, Vivian Dsena along with wife Vahbbiz Dorabjee, Sidharth Shukla, Vivan Bhatena with better half Nikhila, Mukti Mohan, Sana Saeed, star cast of "Swaragini," "Thapki Pyar Ki" star cast, Vikas Manaktala, Arjun Bijlani, Siddharth Nigam, Sanaya Irani, Keith Sequeira with Rochelle Rao, Aishwarya Sakhuja with her husband, Mandana Karimi, Siddharth Nigam, Faisal Khan, Sana Saeed and others dazzled on the red carpet.

The event also saw television actors performing on stage, but the main highlight of the awards show was the stars taking home trophies. "Swaragini," "Naagin" and "Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat" dominated the award night.

"Swaragini" lead pair Helly Shah and Varun Kapoor, who play the role of Swara and Sanskaar, won best actors and best jodi award, while "Naagin" won the best show award.
