The phenomenal HBO fantasy series "Game of Thrones" is steadily reaching Season 5 finale on Sunday, 14 June, and while the season was initially deemed boring, episode 8 "Hardhome" and episode 9 "The Dance of Dragons" brought back the "GOT" flair right before it went on its year-long hiatus.

Setting aside Sansa's rape scene and Shireen's death scene, season 5 has maintained a marginal number of gory deaths and explicit sexual acts. Shireen's death in particular, was totally unexpected by fans and resented even by Stannis Baratheon's followers.

Meanwhile, John Snow, whose death was predicted by many, still remains standing. It made us wonder who else had a chance to be killed off by the creators in the finale, "Mother's Mercy", on 14 June. Here are our predictions on who will not make an appearance on "Game of Thrones" season 6.

In the North

  • Stannis Baratheon: Stannis' army is struggling to stay alive in the cold and it is his desperation that he set his daughter Shireen on fire, as a sacrifice to the God of Light. With his trusted Hand, Davos Seaworth also away in Castle Back, the time is ripe for Ramsay, the legitimised son of Lord Roose Bolton, to attack Stannis. Seeing that Stannis isn't a great contendor for the Iron Throne, his death seems almost practial in the war brewing between Bolton and Baratheon.
  • Brienne of Tarth: The honourable knight, who is still trying to carry out the orders of the late Catelyn Stark, is in the North. She had offered her assistance to Sansa, who is a prisoner in her own home, and was turned down once before. However, having discovered that her husband is sadistic sociopath and her younger brothers are still alive, Sansa may seek out Brienne's help. If Brienne were to help her though, Ramsay Bolton, Sansa's husband will kill her, and it is not going to be pleasant to watch.

In King's Landing

  • Cersei Lannister: Fans know that there is a certain naked walk of shame that awaits Cersei, but could "Mother's Mercy" also result in the Queen Mother's death? Cersei has been an unsympathetic Queen, having no concern for the well-being of her kingdom or its people. Her first and only concern has always been her family, especially her children. The public may express their anger by stoning their disgraced queen to death.

In Meereen

  • Daario Naharis: Daenerys having Tyrion Lannister as a strong advisor in her march towards the Iron Throne, and that Sir Jorah is back serving his queen, Daario seems like an unneccessary addition to her entourage. Moreover, it is Daario who advised the Mother of Dragons to restart Meereen's fighting pits, and that ended very badly. It could be that his terrible advice is punished with death or that Tyrion finds hims to be unloyal to Dany, but his death too, sort of looms around season 5 finale, "Mother's Mercy".

In Dorne

  • Jamie Lannister: "The Dance of Dragons" ended with Prince Doran Martell agreeing to let Jamie leave Dorne with his niece/daughter Myrcella and her fiancé Trystane. Although Ellaria Sand begrudgingly agreed to concede with Prince Doran's orders and let go of her mission to kill Jamie, it is quite possible that she would ask the Sand Snakes to kill him and Myrcella during their journey.
