"American Horror Story" (FX): Season 4 ended in January 2015; Renewed for season 5; expected to air in Oct 2015

"American Horror Story: Hotel" season 5 will focus more on satanic cult, corruption, secret societies and strange guests that come to the hotel . Sarah Paulson and Kathy Bates will resume their roles. Lady Gaga has been added to the roster and Matt Bomer's character is rumoured to be Gaga's onscreen lover. 

"Arrow" (The CW): Season 3 ends on 13 May, 2015; Renewed for season 4; expected to air mid-October 2015

"Arrow" season 3 is still on air and with only the finale remaining, fans have started to speculate on what is coming up in the fourth season. There is also a buzz that H.I.V.E. may be playing the big part as next season's villain and fans may also look forward to know why H.I.V.E. hired the Deadshot to kill Andy.

"The Big Bang Theory" (CBS): Season 8 ended 7 May 2015; Renewed through season 10 (2017); Season 9 to air later this year

With the 24th episode of the Season 8 airing on 7 May, the popular sitcom came to the season's end, leaving fans hanging in mid-air on Penny and Leonard, who are having second thoughts about their marriage. Also, things took a U-turn when Sheldon proposed to Amy. Fans are now dying to see the nerd couple romance in the next season.

"Castle" (ABC): Season 7 ends on 11 May; Renewed for season 8; Release date not confirmed

Though the season 7 is coming to an end soon, Stana Katic, who plays the role of Detective Kate Beckett, has not been confirmed for the next season of this mystery-solving series. So everything hangs in balance, but fans are eager to see the dynamic duo Castle and Kate work their way through more cases.

"The Flash" (The CW): Season 1 finale to air on 19 May; Renewed for season 2; New episodes expected in October 2015

With two more episodes to go till the end of season 1, fans are already looking forward to the next season. The makers of the series promise the return of villains such as Mirror Master and Dr. Alchemy, and also mention a sudden twist "that hopefully people will lose their minds over."

"Game of Thrones" (HBO) : Season 5 currently on air; Renewed for seasons 6; next season to air in Spring 2016

The main controversy regarding the latest seasons of "Game of Thrones" is whether the author J.R. Tolkien has finished writing the next instalment of his book "Winds of Winter", as season 6 has already been confirmed and will start production from July 2015.

"Grey's Anatomy" (ABC): Last episode of season 11 to be aired on 14 May; Renewed for season 12; release dates not confirmed

With Patrick Dempsey's character Dereck's death, fans are now reluctant to watch the show as they say it makes the series incomplete. Though producers have announced the renewal of the 12th season, the success rate would have to be seen.

 "Pretty Little Liars" (ABC Family): Season 5 ended on 24 March, 2015; Renewed for seasons 6, 7; Season 6 to premiere on 6 June, followed by season 7 in 2016

The fifth season ended on a cliffhanger with the four trapped outside of Charles' Doll house. With more mysteries yet to be solved, the promo of the first episode of season 6 revealed that the boys, Ezra, Caleb and Toby, will continue to find their whereabouts with or without the help of the police.

"The Vampire Diaries" (The CW): Season 6 on air; Last episode to air on 14 May; Renewed for season 7; Release dates not announced

With Nina Dobrev announcing her departure from the series at the season's end on her Instagram page, there was immediate speculation as to whether the series would continue without Dobrev, but the continuation was confirmed and producers are looking to the replacement of her character.
