The Game Awards 2014, held at Las Vegas, has concluded and winners announced for this year. The event was held on 5 December, 2014.

BioWare's Dragon Age: Inquisition won in the Game of the Year, it also won the best RPG award and Nintendo was adjudged the Developer of the Year.

Game Announcements and Trailers

Many developers showcased their games via some new trailers.

The Legend of Zelda Wii U

A new footage for The Legend of Zelda was released by Nintendo with Shigeru Miyamoto, producer, and Eiji Aonuma the director giving out a demonstration of the progress made since it was last showcased at the E3 2014.

The game will feature a large map, horses to ride,  links to shoot arrows while dismounting from Epona (the horse) and usage of Wii U's GamePad to pinpoint locations on map.

Mario Maker

Nintendo's Miyamoto introduces us to the new Mario Maker that was leaked during the E3. The Mario Maker allows users to switch between multiple 2D Mario game styles that include Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World and so on.

Now players will be able to add obstacles anywhere either before or during the game. Players can add this using Stylus of their GamePad.

No Man's Sky

No Man's Sky is a procedurally generated game with players having five ways to explore it. The Game is developed by Hello Games for PlayStation 4 and PC. It will be released in 2015.

Before

Before is an open world simulation game with low-resolution arty style. It is a survival game set in the Stone Age.

The Order: 1886

Developer Ready at Dawn and SCE Santa Monica Studio's The Order: 1886 trailer was showcased. The game will be rolling out on 20 February, 2015, for PlayStation 4.

Until Dawn

Until Dawn is an upcoming action survival horror title from Supermassive Games for PlayStation 4. This was a new game announcement. It will be rolling out in Summer 2015.

The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3 released a trailer that revealed that the action role-playing title will have another playable character, Ciri, a woman. The game will be rolling out on 24 February, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

King's Quest from The Odd Gentlemen will be rolling out in 2015. It will feature all the magical elements like charm, humour and puzzles that were part of the franchise.

Godzilla the Game will be rolling out Summer 2015 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The game is developed by Bandai Namco.

Bloodborne

Bloodborne will feature new weapons and enemies, and co-op multiplayer action and flamethrower. Developed by From Software and Sony Japan Studios, it will release on 24 March, 2015.
