Despite Deepika Padukone-Amitabh Bachchan starrer "Piku" taking a lead at the box office, Akshay Kumar's "Gabbar Is Back" is scoring well in its second week.

The masala entertainer starring Akshay and Shruti Haasan in the lead had a steady second weekend at the box office. "Gabbar Is Back" accumulated ₹11.5 crore in its second weekend from domestic box office.

The film, which is racing towards ₹100 crore mark, has so far minted ₹71.36 crore in 10 days run.

"#GabbarIsBack was ROCK-STEADY in Weekend 2: Fri 2.80 cr, Sat 4.20 cr, Sun 4.50 cr. Grand total: ₹ 71.36 cr. India biz," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

While Akshay starrer "Gabbar Is Back" might have received mixed reviews from critics on its release, it has impressed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

"Watched 'Gabbar is back'. An amazing movie. U must watch," Kejriwal tweeted on Saturday.

The film has not only impressed moviegoers in India, but in Pakistan as well. "Gabbar Pakistan" became a trending topic on Twitter with Pakistanis giving rave reviews to the film.

"Gabbar Is Back", which was released in Pakistan on 1 May, earned ₹1.27 crore in its opening weekend from Pakistani box office.

Several users tweeted saying that they need Gabbar in Pakistan also to fight corruption.
