'The Fosters' Season 3 Live: Callie Investigates Carmen's Lie; Brandon Follows his Heart in 'Idyllwild'

ABC will air season 3 episode 9 of "The Fosters", which marks the penultimate episode before the show takes a mid-season hiatus. As of now, the fictional family is having many issues, but the real struggle is that of Stef and Lena's, who are supposed to man the overpopulated ship are not able to depend on each other like they used to.

We know that the matriarchs of the Fosters family, Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum) have been having some issues, but unable to completely deal with it. Even their son Brandon (David Lambert) accused them of bringing in "stray kids" in because they cannot stand the thought of being alone with each other. The remark was completely unfair on his part, especially calling his brothers and sisters "stray kids", but let us take into account that he has always been slightly dramatic.

In "Idyllwild", he gets a chance to take all that passion and put it in his music, as he performs in California. The whole family is rooting for him as he takes this incredible step towards his dream career.

Meanwhile, his dream girl Callie (Maia Mitchell) is trying to figure out why Carmen (Alicia Sixtos) lied about Rita (Rosie O'Donnell) hitting her. She is convinced that Brooke (Alessandra Torresani) has something about her and is using it as a leverage to put Rita in jail.

It also seems suspicious that Carmen, who has plans of joining the army after high school, is now waiting to get a diploma, although she has already got GED, because, as Brooke explains, she will have more options. Brooke seems like bad news for everyone, especially for Rita. However, we do have to keep in mind that she did slap her daughter Chloe (Marcella Lentz-Pope) in episode 8 "Daughters".
