The Chinese edition of the hit reality TV show, "Big Brother", has many surprises planned for it's viewers. Among them is the location. Reports suggest that the "Big Brother" series, which will make it's China debut in 2015, will be filmed in Mumbai.

If you are wondering why a Chinese celebrity contingent is travelling to India, it is because the country has it's sets ready for the show. "Big Brother China" season 1 will be shot in Lonavala, on the outskirts of Mumbai, in a factory leased by Endemol Shine India. The sets will be refurbished to accommodate the cast and crew and reports suggest that Chinese viewers will never be able to tell that the locale is not in their home country.

To make sure that their China debut is a success, Endemol has roped in an experienced team along with executive producer Rebecca De Young, who has been involved with "Big Brother" UK for a decade.

According to Indian Television.com, the Chinese team will include creative directors, story editors, remote camera operators, while an Indian crew will handle the rest of the operations.

The other revelation regarding the show involves its airing format. For the first time in the history of the "Big Brother" series, the show will be available for live stream on the Chinese portal, Youku Tudou. This is mostly because the younger Chinese population prefers online content over television, Youku Tudou's executive producer, Ryan Cheung told The Hollywood Reporter. He further said that an online streaming option will allow the cast to interact with their fans.

Although the cast hasn't yet been revealed, the show will include ten participants, including five male and female contestants. Let's hope that former EXO members Kris and Luhan make it to the list.

The Hollywood Reporter suggests that the cast most definitely includes a female singer and a "macho male."

Like all of "Big Brother's" regional variants, the Chinese version will include several tests and voting to determine who gets to stay at the house.
