Ford's new sedan Figo Aspire came into the Indian market nearly a month ago and now the latest reports suggest that the new Figo sedan has been well received.
A report in ET Auto, citing the sources in the industry reveals that the Figo Aspire has garnered 4,000 – 5,000 bookings in India since its entry into the market. Ford launched its Aspire sedan in India on 12 August and the pre-launch bookings were opened on 27 July.
Priced at Rs 4.89 lakh, Ford Figo Aspire is offered in a total of eight variants - five petrol and three diesel. Under the hood, Figo Aspire packs three engine options: 1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol, 1.5-litre TDCI and 1.5-litre Ti-VCT motor and the transmission is taken care of by either a five-speed manual transmission or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The base model of Figo Aspire is powered by 1.2-litre Ti-VCT engine, which can churn out 88PS @6300rpm and 112Nm @4000rpm of peak torque and come mated to a five-speed manual transmission, whereas the 1.5-litre TDCi that has the capacity to produce 100PS of power and 215Nm of torque will come with 5-speed manual gearbox.
The third engine in the line-up, the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT, is tuned to produce 112PS @6,300rpm and 136Nm @4250rpm of torque with 6-Speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
