Faster than Flash and the Reverse Flash, a new super-villain has arrived at Central City, and his name is Zoom. The news was broken at the WB TV panel in Hall H, during the San Diego Comic Con 2015, by "The Flash" executive producer Andrew Kreisberg.

According to the DC comic book universe, Professor Zoom is the alias used by Eobard Thawn aka the Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanaugh), but in The CW series, he is going to be a new character, who is going to give Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) a really hard time.

"He's going to be terrifying and scary and fast, and it's going to be all kinds of cool," Kreisberg revealed during the panel. A fast-paced highlight reel of the past season of "The Flash" was also screened by the panel and along with it, a few statements about season 2.

The clip showed a blue speedster running around Central City, and although initially it seemed like the blue streak was Barry Allen from the future – seeing as he had entered a wormhole in season 1 finale - but now it is almost confirmed that the blue streak is Zoom. From the looks of it, Zoom is going to be Hunter Zolomon from the comic books.

Dslin Roo: Nearly had an heart attack when they said Zoom hope its Hunter Zolomon!

Vigilante Entertainment: OMFG!! ZOOM IS COMING!! PLS BE OCTOBER ALREADY!!

Here is a quote of Hunter, the third Reverse Flash from the comic books: "My name is Hunter Zolomon. Despite what the public believes, I am the fastest man alive. I am Zoom." Hunter dedicated his entire super-villain life to making life a living hell for his former friend Wally West aka Kid Flash, who also happens to be Barry Allen's nephew.

Some fans are also theorising that blue isn't still Zoom at all, but that the blue sreaker shown in the video is possibly Cobalt Blue aka Malcolm Thawne (Rick Cosnett).

Regarding the introduction of the first Flash in the series, Kreisberg said, "Having Jay Garrick come onto the show was one of our earliest ideas. It is so exciting, as we rush into season two, that we finally get to bring the Crimson Comet to life... We couldn't imagine anyone more suited to play the original Flash than Teddy."

Sears has already impressed "The Flash" fans with just his vocal presence as Jay Garrick, the first Flash:

sendtherain: THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! Amazing sizzle reel and I cannot WAIT for Jay Garrick. Love that Iris is clearly the heart of Team Flash, too.

Salome De Los Angeles Ruiz Navarrete: Who the hell are you? My name is Jay Garrick... This is too much for me... I can't wait. October seems so far

Although Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) was heard in the video, telling Cisco (Carlos Valdes) that she is not returning, there are no clues regarding Killer Frost as of now. Whether she will don the villain costume in season 2 will be answered when "The Flash" returns of The CW with season 2 premiere episode "The Man Who Saved Central City" on Tuesday, 6 October, at 8pm (EST).
