'Fifty Shades of Grey' Gets its First Non-Beyonce Song and its PerfectThe Weeknd / Official Twitter

The soundtrack of "Fifty Shades of Grey", the upcoming movie based on E.L James' blockbuster erotic novel of the same name, just got hotter with its brand new single "Earned it" by The Weeknd.

This is the first song from the movie's sound track that isn't from Beyonce. In its first trailer, "Fifty Shades of Grey" used Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" and in its second trailer too, the footage has Beyonce's "Haunted" playing in the background.

But on Monday, Universal Studios pulled the curtain on the first ever non-Beyonce single from the soundtrack and it is brilliant.

"Earned it" is a cello-clad melody with a slow Waltz beat. The lyrics are a perfect portrayal of Christian Grey's feelings for Anastasia Steele and it somehow feels like Abel Tesfaye (better known by his stage name The Weeknd) wrote it after reading the book!

The chorus goes:

"'Cause, girl, you're perfect/ You're always worth it

And you deserve this

The way you work it

Cause, girl, you earned it"

The Weeknd earned mainstream attention for his successful collaboration with Ariana Grande in "Love Me Harder." He tweeted the lyric video of the song and so far fans love the tune.

"This song is on point. I am not a 50 Shades fan but I knew when I heard what it was about, The Weeknd had to get a track on this movie and this song is awesome. No artist is better than the weeknd when capturing love, pain, sexual nature, sensuality, raw emotions, and more. This one will be on repeat for a while," one of the comments on the YouTube video read.
