Italian auto maker Fiat which rolled out its Abarth powered models in India has hiked the prices of its powerful Abarth Avvnetura crossover within 10 days of its launch.

The Abarth Avventura, which was launched at an original price of Rs 9.95 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi has now been listed on the website with a price tag of Rs. 10,00,976 (ex-showroom Delhi). Though it is not a huge hike in the pricing, it must be noted that as the prices of the models go higher than 10 lakh, that would incur higher tax.

Powered by the 1.4-litre T-JET turbocharged petrol engine which also does duty in Abarth Punto, the Abarth Avventura makes 140bhp of power and 212Nm of torque mated to five-speed manual transmission. The Abarth Avventura needs 9.9 seconds to reach from stand still to 100kmph. The powerful crossover returns a fuel efficiency of 16.3kmpl.

The same engine in Abarth Punto which also opened its India chapter along with Abarth Avvnetura has the capacity to develop 145bhp and 200Nm of torque and comes mated to five speed manual transmission. The hot hatch runs from 0 to 100kmph in 8.8 seconds and comes with impressive fuel efficiency of 16.3kmpl.
