With just a month to go before season 5 of "Game of Thrones" airs, the Internet is buzzing with speculations and spoilers.

The last we saw, Arya was heading to Braavos, Sansa was still with Littlefinger at House Arryn, Mance Rayder has been captured by the Night's Watch, and Tyrion has escaped from King's Landing after killing his father. As for Daenerys, she was forced to chain away two of her dragons.

Now, here are a few things fans should know before season 5 airs:

Sansa Heading to Winterfell

For a while now there have been rumours of Sansa Stark heading back to Winterfell, and HBO gave fans a visual confirmation of this in its new trailer for the upcoming season of "Game of Thrones."

The trailer shows the eldest Stark daughter in the family crypt, and some believe Sansa is back in Winterfell because she is married to someone who is ruling the northern region.

One theory has it that Sansa has replaced the book character Jeyne Poole, a woman who impersonates Arya Stark and marries Ramsay Bolton so as to give legitimacy to the Boltons' occupation of Winterfell. While another states that she'll still be disguised as Littlefinger's niece Alayne.

Three Weddings

Season 5 will feature three weddings; while one is between Tommen and Margaery, the other is expected to involve Daenerys. The third, if fan theories are correct, could be that of Sansa and Ramsay Bolton.

Deaths

"Game of Thrones" weddings always prelude bloodshed, and it remains to be seen if any major character will die during these wedding festivities. But "Game of Thrones" author George RR Martin did confirm earlier that some characters who are still alive in the books will die in season 5.

According to rumours, Grey Worm and Jaime Lannister might die in the upcoming season.

Does Tyrion Meet Daenerys?

For four seasons, the storylines of Westeros and Essos have been separated by the narrow sea, but there are signs of them merging, as the new trailer show Tyrion gaping at the sky as Daenerys' Drogon flies past. It remains to be seen if the two will meet, but Martin previously said that the two will indeed cross paths.

"Game of Thrones" season 5 will air on 12 April on HBO.
