It is raining discounts in India. Following the suit of other auto majors in the country, Nissan has also announced discounts and offers for its models, in its bid to tap sales during the festive season.

The offers will be available on Nissan's select variants of Micra hatchback, Sunny sedan, Evalia MUV and Terrano Compact SUV and the customers can avail the offer till 31 October.

Nissan's Sunny will now be available with discounts up to ₹1,45,000, which includes gift cheque and exchange bonus of up to ₹60,000.

The model Micra gets an exchange bonus of up to₹40,000, while Terrano will get a festive bonus of up to ₹50,000 including gift cheque and exchange benefits on select variants.

Nissan Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) Evalia is now being offered with free insurance for the first year. Besides this, there are also various exchange schemes for the existing customers to encourage them to upgrade their models.

Earlier, Nissan's low-cost brand Datsun also announced discounts for its only model Go hatchback in the country. Datsun Go gets a discount of upto ₹38,000, which includes an exchange benefit of up to ₹20,000, insurance worth ₹4,000 and free extended warranty of ₹4,000. In addition to this, there is also an additional discount of ₹10,000 on D, D1 and A variants of the Go hatchback.

Maruti, India's largest car maker, is also attracting its customers with various region-specific offers. The company, which announced special packages during the Ganesh festival and Onam for its customers in Maharashtra and Kerala respectively, will now look forward to special package offers for Durga pooja.

The company has also come up with an 'MGA Women Accessories Range' that includes Digital Tire Inflater, Feminine Designed Body Graphics, Child Seat, Shoe Box, Reverse Parking assist, Multi-Purpose Safety Tool , In Car Chiller and pack of nine Interior kits like (Seat Cover, Cushion Pillows, Steering Wheel Cover and Multi-purpose Bag).

Recently, French auto maker Renault has slashed the ex-showroom price of its fast-moving Duster in the country and the entry-level Duster RxE diesel is now priced at ₹8.18 lakh (ex showroom, Delhi). In addition to this, the company is also offering 2+2 years or 80,000km extended warranty.
