Far Cry Primal, the upcoming open world video game that marks the continuation of the famous Far Cry franchise, has been recently rated as 'M' by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), the authority to assign content ratings to video games and apps.

Ubisoft, the developer and publisher behind this new game, will take players to the Stone Age, since the game is set in the Mesolithic period where humans  fight for space with the mammoths,  sabretooth tigers and rival tribesmen.

ESRB's (via Attack of the Fanboy)  has rated the game with an 'M' for its blood and gore, intense violence, nudity and sexual content.

In its rating summary, it explained how the players will use "arrows, spears, and clubs to kill enemies in frenetic combat," and notes that there will be "stealth kills" and "stabbing." It also mentions of a cutscene containing "tapping a hole in character's skull," "mutilated corpses," "heads and torsos on spikes," "headless bodies."

The summary does not end there as it also mentions some characteristics that has been part of the Far Cry franchise for a long time. The game will have scenes that show male genitalia, topless females and sexual activity.

Far Cry Primal, according to ESRB has, "Certain scenes or camera angles can depict male genitalia under garments or in shadows; some female characters are depicted topless. A handful of scenes depict characters engaged in sexual activity while clothed; grunts and short moans can be heard, though no explicit details are seen."

Far Cry Primal will follow the journey of a human hunter called Takkar, set in the fictional valley of Oros. Takkar has acquired the skill of taming animals and is a Beast-Master. The tribesmen speak Proto-Indo-European language called Wenja.

Players will not only be facing predatory animals like wolves, dholes, jaguars, sabretooth tigers, mammoths and many more, but will also have to face human rivals from other tribes.

The protagonist will be able to craft weapons, and the game will feature a day-night cycle. Far Cry Primal is expected to be released on 23 February, 2016 for PS4 and Xbox One. It will be released to PC on 1 March, 2016.
