The promos for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them have given cinema-goers plenty of reasons to believe that it will be a mega success, similar to other movies on wizards and magic, such as the Harry Potter series and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The movie, written by JK Rowling, is sure to lure Harry Potter fans as it focuses on Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander, an eccentric ad introvert wizard who works at the British Ministry of Magic. The movie is also sure to once again bring magic and wizards back in popular culture.

Ever since the first Harry Potter movie came out in 2001, there hasn't been a Halloween celebration without a wizard or a witch inspired by one of the characters from the franchise. In addition, the franchise also gave us Quidditch. The popular sport in the wizarding world of Harry Potter has been adopted in the real world as well, and it is an actively growing sport in many parts of the globe.

The wizarding world of Harry Potter also gave ardent fans a number of lovable characters, such as Hagrid, the Weasleys, and of course, Albus Dumbladore, the most beloved headmaster of Hogwarts, the wizarding school that became Harry's home.

It remains to be seen if Fantastic Beasts will enjoy the same popularity as the Harry Potter franchise. But it is sure to be a box office hit. Industry sources expect the movie to rake in close to $100 million in domestic sales in the opening weekend. This is close to the sales brought in by the fourth Harry Potter movie — Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire — which made $102.68 million in domestic opening weekend. The last Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, which was released in 2011, had the biggest domestic opening weekend of the franchise, with $169.19 million.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theatres on November 18 2016.
