"Empire" fans will have to wait for a few more days to watch a new episode of season 2 since the Fox series is taking a brief hiatus. Episode 6, titled "A High Hope for a Low Heaven", will telecast at 9pm on 4 November and it will focus on new family drama.

While dealing with the kidnapping of Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Y Gray) and its impact on his parents, the sequel will also feature various problems faced by Andre (Trai Byers) and Jamal (Jussie Smollett).

The official synopsis of episode 6 read: "Lucious (Terrence Howard) and Cookie (Taraji P Henson) must put aside their differences and work together as parents to protect their family and keep them out of danger. Jamal does his best to get back in the studio and break away from being defined solely as a gay artist, while Hakeem struggles with how to feel and act like a man."

Meanwhile, showrunner Ilene Chaiken teased that the sequel will reveal if the hip hop mogul is involved in the kidnapping of his son. "It's got a trade term — it's called a snatch-and-grab. It happens in the music business, in all kinds of celebrity business, but particularly in the hip-hop business. It really is the story in episode six, but the issue of whether or not Lucious and Thirsty have something to do with it is key to the story," Variety her as saying.

Additionally, the episode will also show Andre working to shut down a division at Empire Entertainment, until he discovers a disciple in the midst of Lucious' Gutter Life records.
