The Muslim community around the world are prepping to celebrate Eid al-Adha, also known as Bakra Eid, and any celebration seems incomplete without apt songs.

Although the "feast of sacrifice" will be celebrated on 24 September globally, most states in India will celebrate the festival a day later (25 September).

Many Indian festivals are depicted in Bollywood films and songs are composed for most of them. Bollywood has a number of songs for Eid.

"Chand nazar agaya": This is an old but popular Eid song from the movie, "Hero Hindustani", starring Arshad Warsi. 

"Jumme ki raat": This also stars Salman Khan. Since this year, Eid will be observed in the country on a Friday, "Jumme ki raat" perfectly suits the occasion. The song is from the movie, "Kick". This is one of the most popular tracks of Salman Khan and you would certainly enjoy dancing to this number this Eid.

"Chand samne hai eid ka": Although "Yeh Mohabbat Hai" was not a memorable flick, this song from the film managed to become very popular. It is a slow track and has been sung by Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik and Anand Raaj Anand.

"Yoo shabnami": This is a soulful song from Ranbir Kapoor's debut movie "Saawariya". Sung by Parthiv Gohil, this is a slow but mesmerising track.
