Dwayne Johnson is all set to make his entry into the DC Universe. The actor may soon be seen playing Shazam or Black Adam in "Superman vs Batman: Dawn of Justice". It is still not sure what character Johnson might take up but the grapevine is abuzz that he would act in the superhero film.

"There's a character out there that we're going to announce soon," Johnson told TotalFilm in regards to his DC character. "He has the power of Superman. And it's not the Green Lantern by the way. Believe me – Jon Stewart – he is a character who I wanted to play, but there was already a version of Green Lantern, and so now we've gone in a slightly different direction. But this character has the power of Superman. He can throw down...Just say the word. That's all I'm going to say."

It was earlier reported that Johnson might play the role of Green Lantern in "Superman vs Batman" but that's not true. However, constant comparsion of his character to Superman has sparked off speculation that he might be seen in "Batman vs Superman".

The fans of the actor want him to become a part of DC universe but it is still being kept a secret. While promoting his film, "Hercules" Johnson said that the production house is still looking for right set of writers to sketch his part.

"It is going to happen," Johnson told the Today morning show, reported HNGN. "I've been dying to announce it, by the way, but we still have to find the right writer, we're hearing two or three takes right now, but I'm very, very excited about it. I've been waiting a long time for this, and so have the fans."

It is not sure which superhero film Dawyne Johnson would take up. "Batman vs Superman" is scheduled to hit the theatres in March next year.

The known cast of the film, includes Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Tao Okamoto, Callan Mulvey and Oscar Award winning actress Holly Hunter.
