In the latest development on Star Plus' popular show "Diya Aur Baati Hum", the mystery surrounding the murder of Sandhya's (Deepika Singh) brother-in-law Mohit is getting confusing with each passing day.

Sandhya, being an IPS officer, has been leaving no stone unturned to solve the murder case.

Recently, the makers roped in a new cast member in order to make the ongoing track more gripping. TV actor Sarwar Ahuja is seen playing the role of investigating officer Satyadev, who has teamed up with Sandhya to solve the case. 

While Lokesh confessed of killing Mohit, Sandhya refused to believe him as according to eyewitness Komal, Mohit was killed by a woman.

After Lokesh, Emily, who had been suspected of being involved in the crime, appeared in front of Sandhya and admitted to murdering Mohit.

While Sandya seemed perplexed by both Lokesh and Emily's confessions, her husband Suraj (Anas Rashid) will reveal in the upcoming episodes that he killed Mohit.

"In the episodes to come, Sandhya will get ample proof against Sooraj, and will be in a dilemma as to how to confront him and ask him to speak the truth. However, Sooraj will make things easier for Sandhya by walking up to her and confessing his crime," a source told Telly Chakkar.

It now remains to be seen if Sandhya puts her husband behind bars for killing Mohit. Is Suraj the real murderer or is he trying to save someone? Only time will tell.
