1)"Baby" and "Dolly Ki Doli": Akshay Kumar-starrer "Baby" and "Dolly Ki Doli" starring Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan are the first two films to have clashed in this year. Both movies released on 23 January. While "Baby" was a serious action-oriented film, "Dolly Ki Doli" was a rom-com. The Akshay-starrer clearly won the race against "Dolly Ki Doli" at the box office.

2) "Ab Tak Chappan 2" and "Dum Laga Ke Haisha": Nana Patekar's "Ab Tak Chappan 2" and Ayushmann Khurrana-Bhumi Pednekar-starrer "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" released on 27 February. Again, Nana Patekar's film was a serious crime-oriented flick and the latter was a romantic comedy. Both films did average box office business.

3) "Kuch Kuch Locha Hai" and "Piku": Sunny Leone's adult comedy "Kuch Kuch Locha Hai" clashed with Deepika Padukone's "Piku", which also featured Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. Released on 8 May, "Piku" turned out to be both critically as well as commercially successful while "Kuch Kuch Locha Hai" bombed at the box office.

4) "Manjhi-The Mountain Man" and "All Is Well": Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte's critically acclaimed "Manjhi - The Mountain Man" released along with Abhishek Bachchan-Asin-starrer "All Is Well" on 21 August. The former had the upper hand at the box office as compared to the Junior Bachchan-starrer.

5) "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon", "Calendar Girls" and "Bhaag Johnny": Kapil Sharma's debut movie "Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon", Madhur Bhandarkar's directorial "Calendar Girls" and Kunal Khemu's "Bhaag Johnny" released on 25 September. Kapil's comedy film did considerably well at the box office, but the other two movies failed miserably.

6) "Singh Is Bliing" and "Talvar": Akshay Kumar's "Singh Is Bliing" and Irrfan Khan's "Talvar" had hit the screens on 2 October. The former was a rom-com while "Talvar" was based on the real-life incident of the Aarushi murder case. "Singh Is Bliing" did well at the box office but "Talvar" did not have much commercial impact.

7) "Dilwale" and "Bajirao Mastani": The last but the biggest clash of 2015 was witnessed on 18 December with the release of "Dilwale" and "Bajirao Mastani" — both multi-starrers. "Dilwale", featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, is a romantic-action drama. On the other side, "Bajirao Mastani", starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, is a historical drama. Both movies received positive response from the audience.
