Producer Allu Aravind is holding a grand pre-release function as part of a promotion of his next movie Dhruva, starring Ram Charan and Rakul Preet Singh. This publicity event is live-streamed on YouTube.
Breaking the tradition of Tollywood, Allu Aravind scrapped the plans of holding a grand audio launch for Dhruva and he directly released its music into the market. Instead, he announced to hold a pre-release function as part of its publicity, which he did for his previous production Sarainodu and got good results.
The producer is holding the pre-release function of Dhruva at Yousufguda Police Lines in Hyderabad at 6.30 PM on Sunday. Allu Aravind has made grand arrangements for this event. Vamsi Kaka, the publicist for Dhruva, tweeted this morning: "And the Mega Grand pre-release function of #Dhruva in the evening today at Yousufguda Police Lines, Hyderabad."
Many Tollywood celebs are expected to attend the pre-release function of Dhruva. Hundreds of fans of the mega family are set to witness it live. The makers held a contest on its official website to issue passes for the event. "Quick Grabs! Get 10+ of your friends into the contest by 4.00PM on 4th Dec. Fastest 30 will get a chance to witness the Dhruva prelaunch hungama," reads a statement on the site.
The pre-release event of Dhruva is telecast live on some Telugu TV channels. The filmmaker has also planned to live stream the function on the official YouTube channel of his banner Geetha Arts.
The trailer and music of Dhruva have garnered a superb response from the audience. Its trailer, which was released on YouTube recently, has been watched over 5 million times. A couple of its songs have become chartbusters. G Sriniwasa Kumar tweeted: "At Shasikala theater. #Dhruva songs playing before starting of the film. Full whistles & Cheers frm the crowd, craze of #RamCharan "
The makers have also released a light-hearted making video of the movie at 8.00 PM on Saturday. The 1.25-minute-long video has received good response from the audience. They are set to release the making video of its title track this evening. The producer wrote on the official Twitter handle of Dhruva: "Releasing #Dhruva title song making at 6:30PM!! #DhruvaOnDec9th."
