In the run up to E3 2016, several video games and console hardware were rumoured and some turned out to be true. Before the E3 2016 press conference, trailers of some of the games leaked out before the official release. Not only did they leak but the trailers turned out to be the real ones.

Several games leaked ahead of E3 included "FIFA 17" story mode, "Dead Rising 4" reveal, "Titanfall 2's" gameplay and "Forza Horizon 3."

Gaming blog, GamesRadar was able to talk to developers of video games like "Dishonored 2," "Watch Dogs 2" and "Titanfall 2."

"Those people are participating with the games industry in the way they want to. It's okay because you know this is inside baseball, and how many people saw the leak really? Millions see the gameplay trailer in the end," noted Harvey Smith, game designer and writer at Arkane Studios.

"Sometimes it sucks because you want people to see it in its best form," he added.

Dominic Guay, senior producer of "Watch Dogs 2," believes that though leaks are happening across other industries too, it is frustrating to the team.

"For the team it's annoying because we don't talk about the game even with our friends too much," he said.

"It happens in all medias, it happens for movies, in a sense it's a symptom that games are big," he added.

Vince Zampella, founder of Respawn Entertainment that handles the development of "Titanfall 2," revealed: "If it had been the multiplayer it's not as bad because people knew we have that. Even though [the single player] was rumored and talked about, that was the big 'hey, and here we have it!' and that was spoiled."
