Destiny
Destiny was released on 9 September, 2014.Facebook

Destiny's in-game character, Xur Agent of the Nine, will be back in the reckoning during the 13 -15 February weekend. As is already known to players, Xur appears only during the weekends.

Xur is the merchant within the Tower, who comes with new exotic weapons, armours and other rare goods for players who have saved Strange Coins and/or Motes of Light.

As is already known, he is found only in the weekends starting from 9 am on Friday to 9 am Sunday.

Note: Can be found standing in Tower Hangar, all the way at the back of the lounge.

Ever since the launch of Dark Below DLC in December 2014, Xur brings with him a combination of both new and upgraded items for players willing to shell out their Strange Coins. Though not all the items that Xur has are likely to be game changers, it might be helpful in some way or the other.

February Update Features Revealed

Bungie revealed its plans for the upcoming February update 1.1.1 for Destiny in its Bungie Weekly Update. Bungie said it is trying to keep it's promised rollout date "before the end of February."

Bungie is currently working on to include a new UI feature - Reputation Panel in 1.1.1 update.

David Candland, design lead for User Interface Team at Bungie said, "We've created a way for you to see your faction reputations and weekly marks without having to run from vendor to vendor in the Tower. Now this information is never more than two clicks away!"

"We've known we've wanted this feature since we donned our first piece of faction class gear, and the community has too. It was a no-brainer," he added.

Bungie had previously promised that the update 1.1.1 will include Heavy Ammo bug fix and weapon tuning.

The 1.1.1 update will also include the following weapon tweaks for Destiny:

  • Auto-rifles, designed for close to medium-range combat, are getting a nerf, seeing a base damage reduction by 2.5% in addition to a reduction in effective range.
  • Pulse rifles, which are among Destiny's least-used weapons, will be getting a DPS buff of up to 8.7%.
  • Hand-cannons, or pistols, are designed for medium range and will be seeing a loss in effective range and initial accuracy.
  • Fusion rifles will see a wider blast radius making them slightly easier to use, but their starting ammunition will be reduced so players will have to hunt for secondary weapon ammo.
