Demi Lovato, 25, who is currently in rehab getting treated for substance abuse in Chicago, has allegedly been romantically involved with her drug dealer. She had overdosed with drugs on July 24, 2018 which might have been supplied by Brandon Johnson, according to TMZ.

A source close to Johnson claims that he has been going about telling people that Demi was 'romantically involved' with him, according to Hollywood life.

Reports say that the singer had sent a text to Johnson at 4 am to come to her home in Hollywood Hills the same night she overdosed. Whether she called him before abusing drugs or after is still unclear.

The man under suspect, Johnson, had been arrested previously too. He was arrested earlier this year for possession of illegal drugs, stash of semi-automatic guns and $10,000 in cash, according to reports by TMZ. The police, who arrested him in North Hollywood, caught him with the materials mentioned above after which they searched his home only to find more guns and ammunition. But the DA has not charge him for illegal possessions yet.

The 'Sorry not Sorry' singer has known Johnson since April. As reports indicate, Demi may have taken drugs like Oxycodone laced with fentanyl, and meth with Johnson. Once she lost consiousness and started breathing heavily, he fled the place. Later that morning, Demi was found unconscious by her assistant who thought she was dead after which she called 911.

Fentanyl is a kind of painkiller which came into light when famous singer, Prince and rapper Lil Peep died.

Demi will undergo intense therapy which could last for several months.
