Bollywood actor Ashraful Haque breathed his last on Tuesday afternoon in Mumbai.

The 44-year-old actor, who worked in Aamir Khan's "Delhi Belly", was suffering from arare disease called Myelodysplastic Syndrome, according to Mumbai Mirror.

Haque was admitted into a hospital in Andheri, Mumbai, and was reported to be in critical condition. Haque, a National School of Drama graduate, hailed from Goalpara district of Assam.

Haque acted in more than 30 Bollywood films, as well as, commercials and Television shows.

He had worked alongside Amitabh Bachchan in film "Deewar" released in 2004. He had also worked in noted movies, including "Paan Singh Tomar", "Fukrey", "Company", "Black Friday", "Talaash" among others.

Haque is survived by his wife and 9-year-old son.

And with his sudden death, a number of tweets commemorating him poured in. Bollywood celebrities also expressed their condolences.

"He was one of my closest friends and we knew each other since our struggling days. From my TV show to short-films to features, I worked with him quite often as he was a terrific actor. I was aware of his illness and we knew that his health was fast deteriorating. We were all there for him and it's truly tragic that he had to depart so soon. Our priority now is to take care of his 9-yearold son," director Anurag Kashyap told Mirror.

"It's tragic. His work has always been worth learning from. May God bless his soul," actor Pulkit Samrat said.

"The industry has lost him too soon. I wasn't aware that he was unwell. To me, he will always be Smakiya, the guy who selflessly helped every Fukra," actress Richa Chadda told the daily.
