Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone had kept mum on their relationship for six long years. But since their marriage, the duo has amazed everyone with their candid responses to questions relating to love and relationship. Even Deepika Padukone, who is otherwise considered to be filtered and diplomatic in her responses, has taken queries from the audience and media on the front foot.
Recently, in an interview with Filmfare, without taking names, Deepika spilled the beans on her breakup with Ranbir Kapoor and how her relationship with Ranveer Singh began. The actress remembered how she had been in steady relationships ever since she was 13. Even though her trust was broken many times, she didn't give up on the idea of love. However, by the time she met Ranveer, she was exhausted and even though she had not dated anyone casually till then, she wanted to try out the concept of casual dating with the actor.
She further elaborated that she didn't wish to be answerable to anyone and thus suggested Ranveer keep their relationship open. She didn't want to commit. Deepika had clearly told Ranveer that if she gets attracted to anyone, she would go ahead with it. But, as luck and fate would have it, she couldn't get herself to look at anyone else after she met Ranveer.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot in a grand ceremony on November 14-15 at Lake Como in Italy with close friends and family members. They held a starry reception for industry folks in Bengaluru and Mumbai later.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone would be seen playing an acid-attack survivor in Meghna Gulzar's next. Padukone is not just acting but would even be co-producing the film with Meghna. Ranveer, on the other hand, is geared up for his next release – Gully Boy – opposite Alia Bhatt.
