Manchu Manoj's latest release "Current Theega", which got superb openings, has rocked film-lovers across the globe. The Telugu remake of 2013 Tamil film Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam has made good collection at the box office in two days.

Before its release, the promos of "Current Theega" created lot of curiosity among the cinegoers. In addition, its producers had massive promotions for the film. Released in 700+ screens in 31 countries, the Manoj and Rakul-starrer film received fantastic response from the viewers. The film registered an average of 65% to 75% occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes on the first day.

In a statement released to IBTimes India, the producer said, "Current Theega is on its way to becoming the biggest box-office grosser of Manoj Manchu career. The movie, which opened in theatres on Friday, raked in ₹ 3.7 crores at the Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka box offices on the first day."

With the movie garnered mixed opinion from the viewers, the business of "Current Theega" saw a considerable drop on Saturday. Blame it on the strong word-of-mouth for last week's release Karthikeya, which became first choice for many movie buffs in its second week. On its second day, the Manoj-starrer grossed approximately ₹3 crore at the box office, taking its two-day total to ₹6.7 crores in these areas.

The high voltage action-comedy film is produced by Vishnu Manchu's 24 Frames Factory. Set in the simple background of a village, the story has touched the chord with the audience for its simplicity, drama, emotions and comedy scenes. The performance of the lead stars Manchu Manoj, Rakul Preet Singh, Sunny Leone and Jagapathi Babu have set the right tone in theatre.

"Current Theega" happens to be the first regional film that released in 25 foreign countries. Producer Vishnu Manchu and the film unit are all excited over the audience's response and critics' reviews, which have surpassed their expectations in a big way. The distributors are also upbeat as the collections are soaring not only in the domestic markets, but also in the international market.
