"Thalaivar" Rajinikanth is all set to attend the grand audio launch function of Vikram-Shankar's "I" on 15 September in Chennai.

Rajinikanth will be joining Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger to grace the audio launch function at the Nehru Indoor Stadium and the news has been confirmed by director Shankar on his official facebook page.

"#i finished all d patch works, planing to shoot d balance song soon after d audio launch. Happy to share dat Rajni sir joins Arnold on sep 15th," Shankar posted.

The entire cast and crew of "I" including Vikram, Amy Jackson, Shankar, music composer A.R. Rahman and cinematographer P.C. Sriram are likely to be present for the occasion.

Kannada actor Punith Rajkumar, Rana Daggubati and Mammootty are also expected to attend the audio launch function. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard.

International bubble artist Ana Yang will be performing during the audio launch event. Composer A.R. Rahman will be presenting the songs as a concert and there will also be a show as part of the event, "I" producer Aascar Ravichandran told the The Times of India.

There are huge expectations for the film's audio and it remains to be seen if the album can live up to the hype. The film's teaser is expected to be released during the audio launch function.

"I", deemed as a romantic action thriller, will have Vikram appearing in different looks. The film has been in production for nearly two years and is now in the last stages of post production.

The Vikram starrer will be a Diwali treat for the fans this year. It will be releasing in multiple languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, English and Chinese, as major portions of the film have been shot in China.

Recently, the film's teaser was shown to a select audience and it received overwhelming response from them. The big budget entertainer has created positive buzz in trade circles. The Telugu dubbing rights has been acquired for a whopping price of ₹30 crore, according to 123telugu.

Both Vikram and Shankar have a good market in Andhra Pradesh and some of their films have turned out to be hugely successful. Considering the positive buzz, "I" is expected to take the box office by storm.
