Mahindra is finally set to launch its new motorcycle, Mojo 300, in India by the first week of October. Our sources familiar with Mahindra's plan tell us that the new Mojo will break its cover either by the end of September or in the first week of October.

We have also been told that Mahindra Mojo 300 will get a price tag under Rs 2 lakh. The bookings are already underway in the country against a down payment of Rs 10,000.

For the uninitiated, Mahindra Mojo 300, which is set to enter the 300cc segment, is powered by a 296cc liquid-cooled four-stroke single-cylinder engine that can pump out a power of 27bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque 30Nm at 6,500rpm.

When launched, Mojo 300 will be pitched against Kawasaki Ninja 300R, Honda CBR 250R/300R and KTM Duke.

As for the features, Mojo 300 will come with LED daytime-running lights, new fuel tank, Pirelli Sport Demon tyres mounted on Y-spoke black alloy wheels and LED tail-light.

The Mojo 300 will also be having USD (Up Side Down) forks and twin mufflers in its feature list.
