Confirmed: Disha Patani replaces Shraddha Kapoor opposite Tiger Shroff in Baaghi 2

After a long wait, the lovebirds – Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff – will be finally appearing in a movie together. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that Disha and Tiger will be the lead actors in Baaghi 2.

Earlier, there were reports that the makers will repeat the original pair of Baaghi in the sequel. The first instalment starred Tiger and Shraddha Kapoor and the movie did well at the box office too. But now, Bombay Times has a confirmed report that Shraddha has been replaced by Disha.

"They (Tiger and Disha) share an amazing on-screen chemistry, which was evident in their look test. Disha is just perfect for the role. I am happy with my cast and am excited to kick-start the project," Nadiadwala told the daily.

Apparently, Disha was the first choice for Baaghi as Tiger recommended her at that time. But the makers wanted a known face and thus, casted Shraddha. Now, it looks like the table has turned.

"Disha was the first choice for Baaghi, but they wanted a saleable actress, so they replaced her with Shraddha at the time. Now, Shraddha wants to do the film as she wants a commercial film in her kitty, and the makers want to cash in on Disha's relationship with Tiger," a source had told DNA.

It might prove to be a huge loss to Shraddha as the diva needs a good movie right now. Her previous flicks like Rock On 2 and Half Girlfriend couldn't impress the audience. In fact, Shraddha's last movie that crossed Rs 100 crore mark was Baaghi.
